Srinagar: IAS topper Shah Faesal on Monday was welcomed with pro-Islamic and slogans that are associated with Sheikha Abdullah during his maiden public meeting in north Kashmir’s Kupwara.
Slogans that are mainly used during pro-freedom demonstrations reverberated in Faesal’s first political address.
“Yaha kya chalega? nizam-e-mustafa, ” slogans dominated the rally where hundreds of Faesal’s followers had gathered.
During the public meet slogans used during Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah’s tenure like ‘Yee Karri Tee Karri Bab Karri Lo Lo’ were raised too.
“I wanted to serve my people and to speak about them as well. People who are at the helm of affairs don’t have conscience and do not provide solutions to the people,” he told the gathering.
He said that corruption has rotten the whole system and he had left valley and went to USA after being heart broke.
“Our PHD scholars have been martyred while people enjoy in their arm chairs and Kashmiris offer sacrifices and people keep saying that boys pelt stones for Rs 500,” Faesal said.
People responded to Faisal’s speech with slogans like ‘Aaya Aaya Shair Aaya’.
Notably, Faesal addressed his maiden public gathering today that too in his native district Kupwara in north Kashmir.( with KNO inputs)
