Srinagar, Nov 30 (KNS): Incarcerated chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Friday condemned the ‘ongoing blood bath in Jammu Kashmir.
Malik in a statement issued to KNS said that “employ whatever force you have at your disposal against Kashmiris but bear in mind that all your coercion will fail to suppress Kashmiri voices for freedom.”
“If killings, gallows, guns, tanks, chemical weapons, jails, drones and other modes of carnage would have proved successful in suppressing people’s freedom movements, a number of nations including India would not have been able to get freedom from foreign occupation,” he added.
Malik condemned the arrest of JKLF vice chairman Sheikh Muhammad Afzal at Trehgam Kupwara today. He as per a spokesman was arrested by police this morning and has been put lodged at a police station.
He also condemned the police raids on another JKLF senior member Syed Muzaffar in Dooru Islamabad and termed it as ‘bullying of peaceful political activists and leaders’.
“Police has booked 70 year old Syed Muzaffar in many fabricated cases and from last many days is continuously raiding his residence and harassing his family,” the statement said.
Malik while condemning these arrests and harassments’ said that “police is crossing every limit of repression and tyranny in Kashmir, which is highly condemnable.”
Meanwhile, scores of JKLF leaders and activists staged separate protests at Sarai- Bala and Maisuma Srinagar against ‘ongoing Indian aggression’ in nooks and corners of Kashmir valley.
Protests were held as per the program of Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL).
Scores of JKLF leaders and activists including Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, and Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Professor Javed and others along with people from many walks of life held two separate protest programs at Maisuma Lal Chowk and Sarai-i-Bala and protested against ‘ongoing Indian aggression’ and carnage in Kashmir valley.
JKLF leaders’ Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and Noor Muhammad Kalwal addressed these protests and condemned the spree of killings and other ‘oppressive acts’.
A message from JKLF incarcerated chairman was also delivered to the protesters on these occasions.
In his message from incarceration, Malik said that “rulers and their supporters in Jammu Kashmir are employing every weapon and tactic to suppress Kashmiri voices for freedom but they fail to understand that a nation that has resolved to gain freedom and right to self-determination cannot be suppressed by use of slaughter and oppressive measures.”
“Employ whatever force you have at your disposal against Kashmiris but bear in mind that all your bullying will fail to suppress Kashmiri voices for freedom as recent and the past history of nations bears a witness to the fact that killings, gallows, guns, tanks, chemical weapons, jails, drones and other modes of slaughter never succeed in defeating nations that are striving for freedom and right of self-determination,” asserted Malik.
He said that “let India employ whatever force it has at its disposal against Kashmiris it should bear in mind that all its coercion will fail to suppress Kashmiri voices for freedom and right of self determination because if modes of carnage would have been successful in suppressing peoples freedom movements, a number of nations including India would not have been able to get freedom from foreign occupation.”
He also paid tributes to all the slain persons killed recently and said that “blood of Kashmiris is being spilled ruthlessly and with impunity, which is highly condemnable.” (KNS)
