Srinagar, Mar 24 (KNO): A youth from Kupwara has started a library which remains open 24×7 and is equipped with internet and separate cabin facility at his native Regipora village in the northern Kashmir district.
28-year-old Sheikh Mohammad Idrees son of Ghulam Mohuidin has turned his idea of developing learning culture among youth into reality by starting a public library, which is open for a week now.
Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he said he was inspired after he visited Delhi where he saw public libraries.
Now, he has opened a 24×7 library at Regipora locality in Kupwara.
“The thing that prompted me to run for the idea is the growing learning culture and the rapid competition in the jobs,” Idrees said.
He said that youth in Kupwara are full of talent but they lack facilities including libraries.
“I invite youth to come and avail the facility and make the initiative a success,” he added—(KNO)
