Baramulla, April 1 (JKNS): The Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Singhpora Kalan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has sought written explanations from 10 teachers of two government schools for being absent from duty on the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Details available with newz agency JKNS stated that during a surprise visit to Government Middle School Kanispora Payeen, eight out of 12 teachers were found absent, while at Government Primary School Deh Kanispora, two out of seven teachers were missing.
Taking serious note of the unauthorized absence, ZEO Saif Din Chechi directed the teachers to submit written explanations and report to the Zonal Office immediately. Officials warned that non-compliance could lead to disciplinary action.
Details available here further stated that the ZEO has also instructed all heads of middle and primary schools in the zone to submit photographic evidence of teachers’ attendance along with official leave records. (JKNS)
