GANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 29: Commissioner Secretary, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Zubair Ahmad today presided over a grievance redressal camp held in the conference Hall of Mini Secretariat here.

The camp served as a platform for PRIs and locals to voice their concerns and seek resolutions. They apprised Commissioner Secretary of their development concerns and other demands.

During the camp, Zubair actively engaged with attendees, listening to their grievances, and provided immediate solutions where ever possible in coordination with concerned departments.

Speaking on the occasion Commissioner Secretary said that main aim of conducting Public Darbar is to have a convergent bridge between the administration and the people, adding that this hands-on approach reflects the commitment of the government for ensuring an effective and responsive administration.

The Public Darbar witnessed overwhelming response from the PRIs and public during which they apprised the Commissioner Secretary of various issues and demands including up-gradation of Government high schools, Dewatering at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Malshahibagh, playground at Malshahibagh, additional ration stores, desilting of canals at Saloora, early commissioning of water supply schemes, settlement of revenue records at Malshahibagh, upgradation of water supply and power infrastructure and other issues of public importance.

Commissioner Secretary expressed gratitude to the PRIs and locals for their active participation and reiterated the government’s commitment to continuous improvement in public services.

While taking the feedback regarding the timelines fixed for vital development projects especially of JalShakti department during previous public darbar, Executive Engineer informed that the department has now completed three water supply schemes vizKulan, Nelanajwan and Akhal which will be commissioned within ten days.Besides LariPreng Scheme will be completed by ending December which will cater the major areas of the district. The locals highly appreciated the timely commissioning of these water supply schemes.

While interacting with the officers, Commissioner Secretary said that the purpose of organizing grievance redressal programs is to ensure institutionalized output mechanism and directed all the district heads to apprise the action taken report of the grievances raised by the locals to District Administration in a time bound manner so that same could be shared with concerned PRIs/local deputations in next public darbar.

Regarding development of play field in several Panchayats, the Commissioner Secretary reaffirms the government’s commitment for developing play fields in every Panchayat and directed the ACD to check the status and ensure every Panchayat has at least one playground.

Meanwhile, Zubair handed over appreciation certificates to several Sarpanches who have achieved 100% coverage under JalJevan mission.

Later, he also flagged off the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van which will traverse through the Panchayats fostering community engagement and disseminating awareness regarding myriads of Govt schemes and initiatives.

The public darbar was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Shyambir, Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDM Kangan and other district and sectoral officers.
