๐‹๐ž๐ก, ๐€๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”: District Police Leh has detained a habitual drug peddler under the provisions of the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act, 1988, as part of its sustained efforts to curb drug trafficking and safeguard public interest.

 

The accused, Zahid Hussain S/o Zakir Hussain, R/o Ranbirpora, Thiksay, Leh, was detained on the basis of a detailed dossier submitted by Police Station Leh, highlighting his repeated involvement in multiple narcotics-related FIRs.

 

Following an order passed by the competent authority, the accused has been lodged in District Jail Leh.

 

The preventive action reflects the zero-tolerance policy of District Police Leh towards drug trafficking and drug-related networks, particularly those posing a threat to public peace and the well-being of youth.

 

District Police Leh remains committed to making Ladakh a drug-free society and appeals to the public to remain vigilant and share credible information regarding drug-related or suspicious activities with the Police.
