146 Kanal Land Handed Over to SKUAST-K for Advanced Agriculture Research Centre in Tral

Tral, October 10: The Revenue Department has handed over 146 kanals and 14 marlas of land in the Nahir area of Tral to Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) for the establishment of an Advanced Agriculture Research and Training Centre.

 

MLA Tral Rafiq Ahmad Naik, accompanied by a team from the Revenue Department and university officials, visited the site, where the land was formally handed over to SKUAST-K for the construction of the proposed centre.

 

The project has been welcomed by local residents, who expressed hope that the establishment of the research and training centre would contribute to agricultural development and provide new opportunities for the area.

 

The locals extended their gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, MLA Rafiq Ahmad Naik, the concerned minister, Vice-Chancellor SKUAST-K, the head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Pulwama, ADC Tral, Tehsildar Tral, Citizens Council Tral and others for their role in facilitating the project.
