Srinagar, July 04: A youth drowned in river Jhelum while taking a bath in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Thursday.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that a youth drowned into the river Jhelum near Jamia at Hajin Bandipora.
He said that Nadeem (19 son of Zahoor Ahmad resident of Mir Mohalla Hajin drowned in river Jhelum while taking a bath
He said that rescue operation was started soon after the incident and now efforts are on to rescue him
He said that police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.(KS)
