Srinagar, May 31: Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo has clarified that there is currently no proposal under consideration to announce summer vacations for schools in the Kashmir Valley.
The Minister stated that the School Education Department is closely monitoring weather conditions and the academic calendar, and any decision regarding summer vacations will be taken only after a proper assessment of the prevailing situation. As of now, no final decision has been made on declaring holidays for schools in Kashmir.
Notably, the government has already announced summer vacations for schools in the summer zone of the Jammu Division because of the prevailing heatwave conditions, while no such decision has been taken for Kashmir schools so far.
