Ganderbal 4 Jun(KNZ/TMJ): MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali on Thursday night paid a surprise visit to Trauma Hospital Kangan following an alleged medical negligence incident involving an eight-year-old girl that triggered concern on social media.
Official sources told Kashmir News Zone-the Media journal that the legislator took first-hand appraisal of the incident and interacted with hospital authorities regarding the allegations levelled by the family of the minor girl, who reportedly developed complications after receiving an injection at the hospital.
During the visit, the MLA issued strict directions to the hospital administration and medical staff to exercise utmost care while handling patients and ensure adherence to proper healthcare standards.
He stressed the need for safe and standardized patient care to prevent medical errors and directed the authorities to strengthen supervision and accountability at the hospital, the sources added.(KNZ /TMJ)
