SSP Anantnag conducts comprehensive security review of SANJY-2026 arrangements at Pahalgam

 

Anantnag June 14: As part of the preparations for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)-2026, SSP Anantnag Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS conducted a security review of key Yatra locations in the Pahalgam sector.

 

During the visit, SSP inspected the Frisking Point Nunwan, Nunwan Base Camp, Sarbal Bridge, and reviewed the ongoing repair and construction works of the Joint Police Control Room (JPCR). He also assessed the installation and functioning of CCTV surveillance systems and reviewed overall security and pilgrim-facilitation arrangements. The SSP directed officers to ensure robust security measures, effective access control, enhanced surveillance, and seamless coordination among all agencies for the smooth conduct of the Yatra. He stressed the timely completion of all ongoing works and emphasized maintaining a high level of preparedness to ensure the safety and convenience of pilgrims.
