Ganderbal, June 24 (KNZ/TMJ): The body of a man was retrieved from a power canal in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday, officials said.

An official told Kashmir News Zone-The Media Journal that the body was recovered by a joint team of Police, SDRF personnel and local volunteers from the canal in the Kangan area.

The deceased was identified as Ghulam Mohiuddin, son of Ghulam Hassan, a resident of Poshkar Kangan.

Officials said the body was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kangan for medico-legal formalities.

Further proceedings have been initiated by the police.(KNZ/TMJ)
