Shahtulpora, June 28: Continuing its Muharram service initiatives, the Ali Foundation established refreshment stalls at various locations across Shia-majority areas to provide free drinking water and refreshments to Azadars participating in Muharram processions.
On the 12th of Muharram, the Foundation set up a major service camp at Shahtulpora, where thousands of mourners joined the procession from Dangerpora to Shahtulpora. Volunteers of the Foundation remained on duty throughout the event, ensuring the uninterrupted distribution of water and refreshments to participants as a gesture of community service and devotion.
Association In-charge Shahbeer Ahmad Mir said the Foundation’s dedicated team has reached villages across the region wherever Muharram processions are being held. He said the volunteers are committed to serving Azadars free of cost throughout the mourning period, describing the initiative as a noble cause aimed at supporting devotees and promoting the values of compassion, unity, and selfless service associated with Muharram.
The Foundation’s efforts were appreciated by participants and local residents alike.
