Lieutenant Governor lauds officials, security forces, service providers and volunteers for ensuring smooth and memorable pilgrimage

Srinagar, July 14(KNZ/TMJ): The annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has achieved a historic milestone by crossing the three lakh pilgrim mark in just 12 days, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Tuesday, describing it as a record-breaking achievement for the revered pilgrimage.
In a post on X, Sinha congratulated all officials, security personnel, service providers and volunteers for their unwavering commitment, saying their coordinated efforts had ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the yatra.
“Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has set a historic new record, crossing the 3 lakh mark in just 12 days. I commend all the officials, service providers and volunteers. Their dedication and hard work have made this holy pilgrimage smooth and memorable for every devotee of Baba Barfani. Har Har Mahadev!” the Lieutenant Governor posted on X.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, which commenced on July 3 from the twin base camps of Baltal in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district and Nunwan-Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, has witnessed an unprecedented rush of pilgrims from across the country.
The record footfall comes amid elaborate security arrangements and extensive logistical support put in place by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), the Jammu and Kashmir administration, security forces, healthcare agencies and various service providers to facilitate the annual pilgrimage.(KNZ/TMJ)
