Srinagar: President of the Sonamarg Beopar Mandal, Furqan Shera, met Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary and the Director of Tourism to discuss a range of issues concerning traders, tourism stakeholders and visitors in Sonamarg.

During the meeting,Furqan Shera highlighted several key demands, including development and maintenance of pony tracks, issuance and renewal of pony and cameramen licences, modification and improvement of the market and footpaths, and installation of digitised information boards displaying approved rates.

The President also raised other issues affecting local traders and tourism-related activities, urging the authorities to take timely measures for the overall development and better management of Sonamarg.

The Deputy Chief Minister and Director of Tourism assured the delegation of full support and said that the genuine demands raised by the traders would be examined and addressed on priority, within the applicable rules and regulations.

The Beopar Mandal expressed hope that the assurances given during the meeting would translate into concrete action for the benefit of the local business community and the tourism sector in Sonamarg.
