DIG NKR Baramulla Chairs Security-cum-Coordination Conference at DPL Baramulla Ahead of Independence Day Celebrations

 

Baramulla August 12: DIG North Kashmir Range, Baramulla chaired a security-cum-coordination conference at District Police Lines (DPL) Baramulla to review and strengthen security arrangements for the forthcoming Independence Day celebrations-2026.

 

The conference was attended by senior officers of Police, Army, BSF, CRPF, SSB and other security formations. Officers from the district police establishment and supervisory officers from different sub-divisions also participated in the meeting.

 

During the conference, the overall security preparedness for Independence Day celebrations was reviewed in detail. Emphasis was laid on close inter-agency coordination, effective area domination, enhanced vigilance, seamless communication and timely sharing of actionable inputs among all stakeholders.

 

The DIG NKR stressed the need for coordinated and proactive security measures to ensure peaceful, secure and smooth conduct of the national celebrations across the district. Officers were directed to maintain heightened alertness and ensure effective deployment of resources while facilitating the participation of the public in the celebrations.

 

Police, in coordination with Army and CAPFs, remains committed to maintaining a secure environment and ensuring that Independence Day celebrations are conducted peacefully, with full public participation and in the spirit of national unity.
