ANANTNAG, AUGUST 16: As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, a series of vibrant Tiranga Rallies were organized today across Anantnag district at key tourism hubs including Pahalgam, Kokernag, Achabal, Verinag, and Daksum, reflecting a fervent display of unity and patriotism.
The rallies were organized by the Development Authorities of Pahalgam, Kokernag, and Verinag, along with the respective Sub-Divisional Administrations, the Tourism Department, municipal bodies, other government departments, and local service providers.
The celebrations brought together a diverse cross-section of society, uniting government officials, local communities, tourism stakeholders, and visitors under the national flag. The rallies featured unique display formats tailored to the attractions of each destination and witnessed active participation from local service providers, youth groups, volunteers, business operators, members of civil society, and tourists.
At Pahalgam, local boatmen and tourists navigated the waterways carrying the Tricolor, creating a vibrant spectacle on the Lidder River. Local pony owners (ponywalas) joined the celebrations by riding their horses and waving national flags in a spirited show of patriotism.
CEO PDA Hilal Nasrullah Jerri, SDM Pahalgam Amit Gupta, and other officials participated in these rallies.
Similarly, vibrant Tiranga Rallies were held at Achabal, Kokernag, Verinag, Daksum, and other scenic locations. All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) were also used during the rallies, with riders waving the national flag with profound passion and enthusiasm.
The active involvement of various departments, alongside local service providers and youth, reflected a shared commitment to patriotic values and national pride.
