Ganderbal September 02: As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen police-public relations and promote awareness among young minds, J&K Police in Ganderbal facilitated an educational visit to students from Birla Open Minds International School, Khurhama at Police Station Lar.

During the visit, the students were briefed about the general functioning of a Police Station at the police-station level, including the various sections and their respective roles in maintaining law and order and providing services to the public. The students also visited different sections of the Police Station and interacted with police personnel, gaining firsthand knowledge about the day-to-day functioning of the police force, its responsibilities, and its role in ensuring the safety and security of society.

The interaction provided the students with an opportunity to understand the importance of discipline, public service, community cooperation and responsible citizenship. Police remains committed to foster a meaningful engagement with students and educational institutions and creating greater awareness about the role of police in building a safe, secure and harmonious society.
