The undergraduate 3rd-semester students from SP College Srinagar, degree college Islamabad and Pulwama held a protest demonstration against the Kashmir University’s unprecedented delay in their exams and results in press enclave, Srinagar on Saturday.
Scores of the students from all three districts undergoing BSC program assembled outside press colony raising anti-university slogans for the failure in conducting semester exams. Students holding placards were read “KU delaying is denying”, “Don’t waste our one precious year and Save our future.”
“We want Kashmir University to declare the results of first three semesters first so that if any student is failing he/she will get to know before entering into next semester,” said a student Safeena.
Students are being transferred to next semester without knowing his or her previous academic record, “at the end of the day we are not even aware whether we have passed our previous exam or not,” said another student.
Students even threatened authorities to fulfil their demands or else they will hit the streets again.
