Kupwara/January 30:The District Development Commissioner, Kupwara Khalid Jahangir along with DGM,JK Housing Board, Srinagar Aijaz Ahmad today paid an extensive tour to different areas of Zangli,Munwan,Affen to inspect the on-going developmental progress on different government buildings under the execution of JK Housing Board Srinagar and review the status of on going developmental projects.

The team visited Sub Centre Building at Affen in Lolab and took stock of progress of the building, it was given out that the project is under construction at estimated cost of Rs.17.88 Lakhs, the single story building has been completed, finishing work is in progress while paid visit to proposed residential building for students of Gujjar and Bakerwal community is under construction at kupwara at an estimated cost of Rs 2.50 Crs.

While Gujjar and Bakerwal girls hostel at Zangli is being completed at an estimated cost of Rs 319.60 lakhs the status is near completion. It was further given out that sub-centre building at Manwan with an estimated cost of Rs 17.88 lakhs is completed up to plinth.

The District Development Commissioner Kupwara impressed upon executing agencies to expedite the on-going works so that the facilities be provided to the concerned.

Several deputations also met DDC projected demands and problems for early redressal about electricity, drinking water, road connectivity, health facilities besides day to day matters. The DDC placed instructions to concerned departments to resolve their genuine demands.

During tour several officers and engineers accompanied the DDC.
