Ganderbal 24 Nov (KNZ): Police on Saturday arrested two persons suspected of burning down a Panchayat Ghar at Wahidpora area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Official sources said that the Panchayat Ghar was set ablaze at Wahidpora Ganderbal.
They said there was some dispute going on regarding appointment of chowkidar as the result some windows of the Panchayat Ghar got damaged.
SSP Ganderbal Mr Khalil Poswal confirmed the fire incident and said that blaze was controlled immediately soon after the flames began emanating from the building. He said that there was minor damage to the building while cognizance of the incident has been taken.
Asked about the cause of the fire, SSP said, “Two suspects rounded up and preliminary investigation reveals that a dispute was going on regarding appointment of Chowkidars.
He added that case has been registered into the incident and investigation is going on.(KNZ)
