Army flags off students’ tour organized by 24RR located at Wussan Kangan by Maj Gen A Sengupta YSM,GOC CIF (V) at Awantipora under Bharat Darshan tour sponsored by 24RR Wussan here.
On the occasion Maj Gen A Sengupta YSM,GOC CIF (V) lauded enthusiasm of participating children and briefed these children and media about far reaching personal benefits of this tour.
He also said this year Army is organising Bharat Darshan tours of Govt Colleges of Kashmir as part of annual civic action program .
“The students under this program are being sent on educational cum curricular and excursion trip to different parts of the country like Manali Sanctuary,Namgal Monastery, Himalayan Nature park, Himalayan Bird park,Tattapani Hot springs at shimla and other places to facilitate these children to educate themselves on country’s heritage and history and national diversities,”he said.
The tour aims to expose the young impressionable minds to the world outside the Valley, providing opportunities for interaction with the people to increase awareness and understanding and thereby enabling them to identify more closely with their fellow countrymen.
On this occasion Maj Gen A Sengupta YSM,GOC CIF (V),Commander S A Usman, CO 24RR S Chattervadi were also present in this event.KNZ
