DDC reviews enrollment process

FEBURARY 17: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza Monday convened a meeting to review the implementation of Ayushman Bharat scheme in the district.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Chief Medical Officer Bandipora, Deputy Chief Medical Officer and other senior officials of the Health Department.Meeting was informed that there are 15985 households identified under Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 consisting of about 93893 individuals who are entitled to be covered under the scheme in the district.
Officers said the verification of the registered beneficiaries is going on and about 60 thousand beneficiaries have been registered so far while verification of the beneficiaries is also going on simultaneously.
The meeting discussed threadbare the bottlenecks in the registration process. On the occasion Deputy Commissioner Bandipora directed the officers and officials to work on war footing basis to register the left out persons and also asked the concerned to provide all requisite facilities to the field staff and CSC operators to ensure that the left out households are enrolled at earliest.
He said Ayushman Bharat scheme is targeted at poor, deprived rural families and identified the occupational category of urban workers’ families and entitles beneficiaries to a defined Health cover of Rs 5 lac per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.
DDC Bandipora stressed upon concerned departments to work in tandem and close coordination with each other and mobilize their field functionaries to complete the registration process, disseminate the awareness at the villages and Mohalla level, so that eligible beneficiaries get enrolled within the stipulated time. He also emphasized upon CSC operators to take the registration process on priority so that target is achieved at earliest.
