March 12: As a part of its public outreach programme, police public interaction meeting was facilitated at Police Station Sherghari. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Taunshree-IPS (Prob) SHO PS Sherghari.The meeting was attended by the respectable citizens of Allochibagh area.
The participants raised several social issues including drug menace, gambling and eve teasing near schools and coaching centers in particular.The main aim of these meetings is to create cordial Police-Public relationship and to seek cooperation of community members in eradicating social evils from the society.The participants appreciated the efforts of police for facilitating such meetings where participants express their views freely and assured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils in the area. They also praised the efforts of Police for their timely action regarding any illegal activities in the area.
