Kupwara, May 05 (KNO): A 14-year-old boy from Qaziabad Handwara area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara who got killed during cross fire at Wangam crossing  yesterday evening was today morning laid to rest in Sherri area of Baramulla where unidentified foreign militants are buried normally. 

Family members of slain boy told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that their son, Hazim Shafi Bhat, only brother of three young sisters was laid to rest at Sheeri, Baramulla graveyard  today morning with attendance of only 17 inmates. 

Muhammad Shafi Bhat, Nambardar of the village and uncle of deceased Hazim, said that police intimated them that the body won’t be handed over for last rites instead will be buried at Sheeri Baramulla and few family members will be allowed to attend the last rites. 

He said early morning around 06: 30 am, they left along with a police team for the burial and about 07:00 am Hazim’s funeral prayers were offered with attendance of 17 family members and some police officials. 

Earlier police in it’s statement said that a civilian had got killed during the exchange of fire at Wangam crossing in Kralgund area stating that a case has been registered further investigation is going about the circumstances of this crime. Three CRPF men were also killed an attack at Wangam, Handwara yesterday evening—(KNO)
