GANDERRBAL, JUNE 08: The District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Ganderbal ,Shafqat Iqbal today chaired a meeting to review the preparation of statistical data and Maps regarding Delimitation of parliamentary and Assembly constituencies.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, DPO, all tehsildars and other concerned district officers.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on monitoring and collection of statistical data of administrative/development units, total administrative units as exists on 15 June 2020, total revenue village, Patwar Halqa, development units block wise, total Panchayats and wards besides preparation of maps.
During the meeting it was informed that for preparation of the maps as per the prescribed scale and specification the well versed team is constituted in the district to coordinate with the survey of India or Remote sensing department for preparation of the said maps required for carrying out fresh delimitation for creation of Parliament Constituencies/ Assembly constituencies in the UT Of J&K.
It was also decided that DIO NIC will provide all technical support required for the purpose.
The DEO urged all the concerned to submit the details at an earliest to the Nodal officer will consolidate it for onward submission to the concerned.
