Srinagar, May 06, KDC: A 16- year-old girl jumped into river Jehlum near Budshah Kadal in Kashmir capital Srinagar.
Local sources told news Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a minor girl identified as Nida Bashir, daughter of Bashir Ahmad, a resident of SD Colony Batamaloo jumped into river Jehlum around 4:00 Pm near Budshah Kadal here.
A Police official told KDC that efforts are on to fish out the body, he said, adding it was not immediately known as to what prompted the girl to take such an extreme step.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in police Station Maisuma and have launched further investigations in this regard, he added. (KDC)
