Man absconding since 25 years apprehended in Baramulla;Involved in arms act case: Police
Srinagar, July 23:(GNS) Police on Friday said that it has arrested a absconder who was evading arrest since twenty five years in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement to GNS, the police said that under the supervision of Syed Sajad Hussain-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by Inspector Syed Showkat Ahmad, SHO Police station Baramulla arrested one absconder namely Bashir Ahmad Lone son of Mohd Maqbool Lone resident of Khadniyar, absconder who was evading arrest in case FIR No. 34 of 1997 u/s 7/25 I A Act of Police Station Baramulla. The absconder was immediately produced before Hon’ble Court where from he was shifted to jail.
The police spokesperson further said that it is pertinent to mention here that On 16/02/1997, case FIR No. 34 of 1997 u/s 7/25 I A Act of Police Station Baramulla came to be registered against two accused including said absconder on the recovery of 04 Chinese Hand Grenades at Bus Stand Baramulla and the instant case was challaned against accused before Hon’ble Court on 06/03/1997.
During the trial the said accused was declared as absconder by the Hon’ble Court, reads the statement.(GNS)
