Awantipora 27 Oct (KNZ):Continuing its drive against drug peddlers and its Propragators, Awantipora Police arrested four drug peddlers from Khrew area.
During vehicular checking at Wahabsahab Khrew Police Party of Police Station Khrew under the supervision of SDPO Pampore Shri Imtiyaz Ahmad -JKPS arested four drug peddlers identified as:Sahil Ahmed Jogi S/o Manzoor Ahmed Jogi R/o Mattan Anantnag.Mohd Iqbal bhat S/O Ab Salam Bhat R/o wahab sahab. Manzoor Ahmad shiekh S/o Ab Gani shiekh R/o shar shali.Ajaz Ahmed shiekh S/o Ab Rehman shiekh R/o Shar shali.
The arrested persons were travelling in a vehicle Santro bearing registration number JK01M-7814 which was signaled to stop and during through search 11 Kgs of contraband substances poppy straw(5kgs) and cannabis(6kgs) was recovered from the possession of the persons boarding in the said vehicle.
The vehicle santro used for the commission of the offence has also been seized.
Case FIR Number 76/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Khrew.
