Kulgam March 19: Continuing its action against drug peddlers, Police in Kulgam attached property (Single story residential house) worth approx. ₹1,014,894, measuring 976.76 Sq. ft belonging to notorious drug peddler namely Ghulam Mohammad Mir @Gull Kasai Son of Mohd Abdullah Mir resident of Bugam.
The action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of NDPS Act of 1985 & is linked with case FIR No. 166/2015 U/S 8/15 of NDPS act & 77/2022 U/S 8/15 of NDPS Act of PS Kulgam.
The property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Kulgam Police. The property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by the said drug peddler.
This operation reaffirms the commitment of J&K Police to combat the drug menace. Local people of the area hailed the initiative of J&K Police.
