Awareness Programme on Safe and Healthy Food Held at Palaash Childcare Institute, Kangan

 

Kangan, October 5:With the aim of promoting safe, hygienic and healthy food habits among school-going children, the Food Safety Department, Ganderbal, today organised an awareness programme at Palaash Childcare Institute & Middle School, Kangan, under the “Eat Right School” initiative.

 

During the programme, the Designated Officer, Food Safety Ganderbal, along with the concerned Food Safety Officer, sensitised students about the importance of consuming safe, nutritious and hygienically prepared food.

 

The officials highlighted the importance of maintaining proper food hygiene and adopting healthy eating habits from an early age. Students were also advised to avoid or minimise the consumption of junk and unhealthy food, which may adversely affect their health and overall well-being.

 

The programme focused on empowering children to make informed and healthier food choices and encouraged them to act as ambassadors of food safety and healthy eating in their schools, homes and communities.
