According to eye-witnesses, the trouble began on last night, when a joint team of Srinagar Development Authority, Srinagar Muncipal Committee assisted by SSP Srinagar began sealing the bus stand at Batamaloo following the High Court orders.

“How can we be located at Parimpora when at least 50 percent vehicles have to be stationed at the bus stand at one time when its idle parking capacity as per SDA is just 280 vehicles. The motor vehicles Act 181 states that authorities should ensure all public facilities before starting operations of a bus stand which is being completed violated by the state government,” one of the protester said.
