Bandipora, March 25: Under the aegis of the Civic Action Programme 2025–26, 45 Battalion CRPF Sumbal successfully conducted a one-month Tailoring and Stitching Skill Development Course at Bahrabad Hajin in Bandipora district. The programme, which commenced on February 23, 2026, concluded on March 25, 2026.
A total of 50 girls and women, mostly from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families of nearby villages, actively participated in the training programme. The participants displayed remarkable enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment throughout the course, which led to its successful completion.
Apart from imparting valuable tailoring and stitching skills, the initiative also served as an effective public outreach programme, strengthening the bond of trust and cooperation between CRPF and the local community in the area.
The programme provided an important platform for underprivileged women to gain practical skills, paving the way for self-employment and financial independence.
The initiative reflects the commitment of CRPF towards women empowerment, community welfare, and inclusive development in the region.
