GANDERBAL, AUGUST 06: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, today chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) to review the implementation of Mission YUVA, assess progress achieved against the prescribed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and consider beneficiary cases under the scheme.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress achieved since the last DLIC meeting, with particular focus on beneficiary registration, bank-linked credit cases, sanction and disbursement of loans, and sector-wise performance under Mission YUVA. The District Level Implementation Committee approved 233 beneficiary cases under Mission YUVA for financial assistance and further processing under the scheme.
Reviewing the performance of financial institutions, the Deputy Commissioner directed all banks to expedite the disposal of eligible cases and ensure that all pending applications are processed within the stipulated timelines. He emphasized that unnecessary delays should be avoided so that aspiring entrepreneurs can establish their ventures without hindrance.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Assistant Director, Employment, to convene regular review meetings with bankers as well as Assistant Commissioner Revenue and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kangan and other concerned officers to identify and resolve bottlenecks in processing Mission YUVA cases.
The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the concerned officers to undertake regular field visits to monitor established units and submit periodic progress reports regarding the functioning and sustainability of Mission YUVA enterprises.
Calling for greater convergence among all stakeholder departments, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated that Mission YUVA is a flagship initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment among youth. He urged all implementing agencies and financial institutions to work in close coordination to achieve the prescribed targets within the stipulated timelines and facilitate sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth of Ganderbal.
