GANDERBAL, MAY 20: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore today reviewed the arrangements being put in place at Transit Camp Manigam for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.
During the visit, the DC took stock of the various arrangements being made by different departments in view of the annual pilgrimage. The inspection focused on preparedness and the availability of public facilities, sanitation measures, road connectivity, drinking water supply, power arrangements, RFID and EKYC infrastructure besides other essential services.
The DC reviewed the arrangements being put in place by Jal Shakti and KPDCL departments to ensure uninterrupted drinking water and electricity supply at the transit camp during the Yatra period.
The DC directed the concerned officers to expedite the pace of all ongoing works and ensure their timely completion well before the commencement of the Yatra.
He particularly emphasised the early completion of macadamisation works within the transit camp to ensure smooth movement and better facilities for the pilgrims.
The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildar Lar, concerned BDO and other officers and officials of various line departments during the visit.
