Ganderbal: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shreya Singhal, IAS, has assured a review of complaints regarding alleged illegal constructions along Nallah Sindh, saying the administration will hold discussions with concerned revenue officials and officials of the Development Authority to examine the issue and explore measures to prevent such activities.
The DC said the administration had received similar complaints from various areas, including earlier reports highlighting alleged construction violations along the banks of Nallah Sindh.
“We have received similar complaints here as well as earlier regarding illegal constructions along Nallah Sindh. In this regard, we will sit with the concerned revenue officials and officials of the Development Authority to review how these constructions are taking place and how they can be stopped,” the DC said.
The statement comes amid growing concerns over alleged unauthorised constructions along the waterbody, with questions being raised about the enforcement of existing construction regulations and the protection of the riverbanks.
