Srinagar: Srinagar Kendra of the national broadcaster, Doordarshan on Wednesday stopped telecast of all in-house programmes.

A senior executive at the local Doordarshan Kendra called DD Kashir told , "Keeping in view the prevailing situation in the country, we have stopped telecast of all in-house programmes for the time being.

"National priority programmes connected with fighting the COVID-19 infection, medical updates and other allied programmes are being telecast from our Kendra at the moment", the executive said.

Some popular local programmes like ''Good Morning J&K'', ''Halaat-e-Hazira'', etc., have suddenly gone off the air since Wednesday morning.
