Poonch, Aug 5 (GNS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said the government’s immediate focus is on rehabilitation and reconstruction in flood-hit areas of Poonch following the completion of rescue and recovery operations.
As per GNS correspondent, Interacting with people affected by the recent floods, the Chief Minister said assistance will be provided to affected families and damaged infrastructure will be restored on priority.
He added that additional relief, including free ration, will be considered based on proposals submitted by the district administration.
CM Abdullah also reviewed the ongoing relief and restoration measures with officials and directed them to expedite work to bring normalcy back to the affected areas.(GNS)
