Ganderbal, June 19: In preparation for the forthcoming Kheer Bhawani Mela-2026, Ganderbal Police on Friday conducted a comprehensive joint mock drill at the revered Kheer Bhawani Shrine in Tulmulla to assess the preparedness, coordination, and response capabilities of various security and emergency response agencies.
The mock exercise was jointly carried out by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Ganderbal, 24 Rashtriya Rifles, CRPF, SDRF, Markhor, Police Station Kheer Bhawani, District Hospital Ganderbal, and Fire & Emergency Services.
The drill was aimed at strengthening inter-agency coordination, enhancing quick response mechanisms, streamlining evacuation procedures, ensuring prompt medical assistance, and effectively managing any unforeseen situation during the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
During the exercise, participating teams demonstrated their operational readiness, communication systems, rescue procedures, and coordinated response strategies to tackle emergency scenarios efficiently.
Ganderbal Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring foolproof security arrangements, the safety and well-being of devotees, and the smooth and peaceful conduct of Kheer Bhawani Mela-2026 through close coordination among all stakeholders and participating agencies.
