Ganderbal, January 30, 2026:Ganderbal Police on Thursday observed a solemn two minutes’ silence across all police establishments in the district, including the District Police Office (DPO) Ganderbal, to pay heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of India’s freedom struggle.
The observance was held as a mark of deep respect and remembrance for the brave sons and daughters of the nation who laid down their lives for India’s freedom, unity, and sovereignty. Officers and personnel of Ganderbal Police assembled at DPO Ganderbal and participated in the tribute with dignity, discipline, and solemnity.
SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal, JKPS, led the observance and joined officers and officials in paying homage to the martyrs.
The gathering stood in silence for two minutes, reflecting on the supreme sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and reaffirming their collective commitment to uphold the ideals of unity, integrity, peace, and selfless service to the nation.
