IGNOU Launches One-Year MA in Development Studies for FYUP Graduates for July 2026 Session

 

Srinagar:Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the launch of its new One-Year MA in Development Studies (MADVSOY) programme for the July 2026 academic session. The programme is set to boost specialized higher education in the development sector. It is specifically crafted to equip students with the advanced knowledge, practical skills, and field exposure required to drive impactful policy and social change.

 

The programme is being offered by the School of Extension and Development Studies IGNOU New Delhi. Designed meticulously for technical and multidisciplinary graduates who are keen to shape their careers in the development sector. As per the official notification, admissions are open exclusively to FYUP Graduates, Professional Agriculture/Allied Graduates, and Engineering Graduates holding a 4-year B.Tech or B.E. degree in any branch.

 

There is no doubt traditional frameworks are evolving globally which are creating a pressing need for experts to formulate, implement, monitor, and evaluate large-scale development programmes. Keeping in line with IGNOU’s mission of democratic and accessible higher learning, the total programme fee is set at a highly competitive Rs 8,000.
