J&K Govt Orders Attachment of CEO Baramulla, Assigns Charge to Joint Director

Jammu, Apr 23: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department on Thursday ordered the attachment of a chief education officer with immediate effect, according to an official order.

As per Government Order No. 159-JK (Edu) of 2026 dated April 23, Abdul Rashid Mir, In-charge Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla, who was also holding additional charge as CEO Bandipora, has been attached to the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir.

The order, issued by the Civil Secretariat, Jammu, stated that the decision was taken by the competent authority and will come into force immediately.

It further directed that the Joint Director, Education (North) Kashmir shall look after the responsibilities previously held by Mir, in addition to his own duties, until further orders.

The order was issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, Ram Niwas Sharma. (KDC)
