Kishtwar Youth Postpones Wedding to Attend Agha Ruhullah’s November 3 Convention

Srinagar, Nov 2: In a show of support for National Conference MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, a youth from Kishtwar has postponed his wedding celebrations to participate in the proposed November 3 convention in Srinagar, saying the occasion holds special significance for him.

Speaking over his decision, Abrar from Kishtwar as per news agency JKNS said his wedding had been scheduled for November 1, 2 and 3, but he decided to change the dates as it was clashing with the Aga sahab’s convention date i.e; November 3

“I felt that this convention was as important to me as my marriage. Therefore, I decided to extend the wedding date,” he said.

Abrar said he had known Aga Ruhullah for nearly two-and-a-half to three years and had discussed his wedding plans with him around three to four months ago.

Explaining his decision to attend the gathering, he said Ruhullah had emerged as a political voice who raises issues concerning unemployment, youth and the rights of Jammu and Kashmir.

“I have seen a person who speaks about our youth, unemployment and our rights. That is why I came here to stand with Aga Ruhullah Mehdi,” he said.

He said his support for Ruhullah was based on his political principles and commitment to public issues, adding that he would continue to stand with him if he remained on the right path.

Abrar also dismissed suggestions that Ruhullah’s stand was aimed at personal political gains, saying people should first understand his ideology and position before forming an opinion.

He said political differences were natural but urged people to assess the issues and principles behind Ruhullah’s position.

The youth also expressed confidence in Ruhullah’s decision, saying he believed the MP was taking his stand after careful consideration. (JKNS)
