Police holds coordination meeting in Ganderbal with nodal officers of CAPF for smooth, secure conduct of SANJY-2026

 

Ganderbal June 12: In view of the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, Police in Ganderbal convened a comprehensive coordination meeting with Nodal Officers of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) at the District Police Office Ganderbal to review preparedness and strengthen inter-agency coordination for the smooth, safe and successful conduct of the annual pilgrimage. The meeting was chaired by SSP Ganderbal Shri Sudhanshu Dhama-IPS.

 

The meeting focused on ensuring seamless coordination among all security and allied agencies deployed for the Yatra. Detailed discussions were held regarding security arrangements, deployment plans, traffic management, emergency response mechanisms, communication systems, and facilitation measures for pilgrims.

 

SSP Ganderbal emphasized the need to ensure the availability of all essential facilities at Baltal Base Camp and other camping locations, including accommodation, sanitation, medical assistance, drinking water, power supply, and other logistical requirements for the convenience and welfare of the yatris. The officers also reviewed contingency plans and stressed the importance of maintaining a high level of preparedness, vigilance, and coordination at all levels to effectively address any emergent situation during the Yatra period.

 

J&K Police reaffirmed its commitment to provide a secure, peaceful, and pilgrim-friendly environment and assured that all necessary measures are being taken in close coordination with CAPF’s and civil administration to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.
