Ganderbal, 10th Sep:Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, today chaired a crime and security review meeting at the Conference Hall, District Police Office (DPO) Ganderbal.

The meeting was attended by GOs, SHOs, In-charge PPs, IOs and other senior officers of the district.

During the meeting, SSP Ganderbal laid special emphasis on the effective implementation of the New Criminal Laws (NCL) and shared a roadmap to spread awareness among the general public regarding their benefits. He stressed that the new laws should be utilized to achieve the true spirit of justice and directed officers to adopt a victim-centric approach to ensure that every individual is benefitted.

Highlighting major challenges, SSP Poswal urged officers to intensify their fight against the menace of drugs and take firm action against cybercrimes. He also directed for speedy and timely disposal of all pending UAPA and NDPS cases.

The officers present briefed the SSP about the overall security scenario in their respective jurisdictions. Detailed discussions were held on strategies to counter threats posed by adversaries. SSP Ganderbal also underscored the importance of maintaining close synergy and coordination with other security agencies operating on the ground. He further instructed all field units to refrain from entertaining disputes related to land sale and purchase matters.

The meeting concluded with SSP Ganderbal appreciating the officers for their dedicated efforts and urging them to continue working with commitment for the safety and security of the people.
