Awantipora 22 Oct (KNZ):Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Awantipora Police arrested two drug peddlers during Naka checking at Literabal Pampore .
The two arrested drug peddlers have been identified as : Javaid Ahmad Bhat S/o Ab Rehman Bhat R/O Nihama Kakapora. Ab Hamid Mir S/O Ghulam Rasool Mir R/o Kadlabal Pampore and were arrested while they were travelling on Scooty JK13F-1366 .
13 Kgs of contraband substances poppy straw was recovered from their possession.
The Scooty used for the commission of the offence has also been seized.
Case FIR Number 137/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Pampore.
General Public of Awantpora, Tral , Pampore and Khrew are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in neighborhood area. Persons found indulging in drug peddlers will be dealt strictly under law.KNZ
