Rajouri, Sep 30 (GNS): The Assistant Regional Transport Officer Rajouri has suspended the Registration Certificate of a vehicle after a video showed a woman performing stunt on its bonnet on National Highway.
As per Order, a copy of which lies with GNS, vehicle No. JK11B-8314 (LMV) registered in the name of Joni Kumar son of Roshan Lal, resident of Rajiv Nagar, Jammu Central, Narwal, Jammu, has been suspended with immediate effect.
The office said a video dated 28.08.2026 circulated on social media page “Dainik Shiv Times Jammu” came to its notice, wherein a lady is seen performing stunt on the bonnet of the vehicle plying on National Highway.
The act constitutes serious violation of traffic rules and road safety norms and is likely to endanger life and safety of the person involved as well as pedestrians and other road users, the order said.
The ARTO said such acts are highly unsafe and contrary to provisions of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
The owner has been directed to submit driving licence of driver who was driving the vehicle at the time of incident within seven days for examination and further necessary action, failing which further action shall be taken under Motor Vehicles Act.(GNS)
