One person died and twelve others were injured after a vehicle they were travelling on met with an accident at Langate chowk in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday.
Reports said that a mini passenger bus (registration number JK09A 1220) turned turtle at main chowk Langate today afternoon, resulting in death to one passenger and injuries to 12 others.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where from six injured were referred to district hospital Handwara for specialized treatment.
“Six among the injured were referred to district hospital Handwara for specialized treatment. The condition of one of them is critical,” said Block Medical officer Langate Nazir Ahmad.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sultan (40) son of Khazar Mohammad resident of Panditpora Langate.
