Ganderbal 04 Apr (KNZ):Bharatiya Janata Party councillor Abdul Majeed Mir was today elected as Vice president of Municipal council Ganderbal
Majeed Mir defeated his opponent National Conference Bashir Koul by a margin of three votes. An official said that out of 17 councillors,10 voted were polled in favour of Majeed Mir while his opponent Bashir Koul got only 7 votes.
On the occasion,Majeed Mir while thanking the councillors for electing, said that he will give better civic amenities to the residents of Ganderbal town.
“I along with the entire team of Municipal Council Ganderbal including MC President and concillors, will ensure better civic facilities in the town and our focus will be to provide proper sanitation besides neat and clean atmosphere to the town residents.”
