Ganderbal, May 23(KNZ/TMJ): The body of a missing girl was recovered on Saturday from a power canal at Thune area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district after an extensive search operation.
Official told Kashmir News Zone-the Media journal said that the 19-year-old girl from Surfraw Gund area had been missing since May 15, 2026.
A large-scale search operation was launched in the power canal stretch from Sumbal to Kangan after water supply was shut down to facilitate rescue efforts.
After hours of searching, the body was recovered from the canal at Thune by rescue teams and authorities.
Further investigation has been taken up.(KNZ/TMJ)
